seems i just feel talktative today
so here's some movies i saw recently

Dirty Harry
For some reason i was expecting another French Connection, which was a movie i did not enjoy. but i will admit i enjoyed the film with all its definitions of whatmakes Harry 'dirty' to the psychotic but clever killer, and the famous line "are you feeling lucky punk?"

Almost famous
Since my introduction to patrick Fugit in Wristcutters: a Love story i have enjoyed what i have seen of his work. so whn i stumbled across Almost famous i was mainly watching for him. and by the way...he is probably the cutest 14 year old i have ever seen. i dont think i've seen eyes that big since Elijah Wood! and then the fun part was that the movie itself turned out to be a sweet and funny thing. not anything like i was expecting and i enjoyed every moment. i particularly likes Francis McDormand as his slightly crazy mother and Zooey Deschanel as the runaway sister

Funny Girl
For whatever reason i had never seen a Barbra Streisand film. which is quite a feat since my cousin adores her and watches her movies alot. I liked the movie. the scene with her fake pregnant belly was priceless.

Manchurian Candidate(the original with Frank Sinatra)
Very interesting. at some point i realized this was htefirst Sinatra film i had seen where he wasnt bursting into song. it was a good movie. the acting wasnt over the top and Laurence Harvey managed to play every level of Raymond Shaw. he was fantastic. not to mention Angela Lanbury as the fantastically evil mother. i was curious about the remake and looked up who played her role in it and then laughed. of course it was Meryll Streep

Pay It Forward
I only had vague memories of this movie from seeing it many years ago, so one day when i was in the mood i just sat down and watched it again. While Haley Joel Osmond was adorable and funny and perfect as the kid the on who really made me love this movie was Kevin Spacey as the messed up teacher. watching him i just wanted to reach in and give the guy a hug or something. i also loved the little random Pay it Forward scenes like the one with the Druggie and the woman trying to kill herself.

Heathers
I still dont know what to make of this movie. it felt like what Mean Girls was trying to be in some sense(although i did laugh more during Mean Girls...i think it is due to the fact that i have a tendency to understand satire without actually being amused by it). i think i was most struck by the wierd sequences and the whole finale of the film. although i read the script of what the original ending was supposed to be and i think that one would have been best.

and today i saw Tale of Desperaux and the Fantastic Mr. Fox but i plan to do a full review of those on my page

I always wondered this after the last finale, will Eleven technically be Twelve because essentially there was a regeneration even though the energy was channeled into Donna and 10.5 ? I mean if a timelord only has 12 regens (though I know RTD mentioned something about changing that?) then they must have a finite amount of regeneration energy and the Doctor must have used up 10/12ths already 11/12ths when Matt Smith takes over.

Does that make any sense, or am I talking utter rubish?

Summary: The Doctor and Rose return to Tombstone, Arizona, site of the gunfight at the OK Corral. This time it isn't the cowboys causing the trouble, but an ancient Hopi Indian spirit. The feud between the Earps and the Clantons is hoting up, babies are dying, spring is late and the Tombstone silver mine has just collapsed.

So i saw someone recently asked for reccomendations for movies that would be listed as 'Mind fuck' movies
i am asking a similar but slightly more selective question.
I am not surewhat classifys as a mindfuck movie but i am looking for those complicated movies you have to pay attention to. the kind that you never quite know what is going to happen next
but alot of these movies might be considered scary and i(as i have mentioned previously) dont do scary movies.
so any of these sorts of movies that i might enjoy that arent scary?
PLEASE NOTE.
Duplicity and Michael Clayton are already on my list of movies to see as is the Fountain and i have seen Memento and the Prestige(both were awesome of course)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- USA is shaking up its January plans as its original series "White Collar," "Burn Notice" and "Psych" will each now occupy their own nights.

Advance listings released by the network today indicate "White Collar" will launch the back half of its freshman run on Tuesday, January 19 at 10:00/9:00c with "Burn Notice" resuming its third season on Thursday, January 21 at 10:00/9:00c.

"Psych" will then round out the trio when its fourth season returns Wednesday, January 27 at 10:00/9:00c.

Said lineup will give USA original scripted programming at 10:00/9:00c on Tuesdays ("White Collar"), Wednesdays ("Psych") and Thursdays ("Burn Notice").

The news marks a significant shift from the network's usual drama homes which have been limited to Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays in recent years.
